At the Hearing Diagnostic Center, a national and state licensed audiologists will provide you with a complete evaluation of your hearing, which includes the middle ear test, frequency specific tonal test and speech recognition test. By having a complete hearing test you will be able to be familiar with the type and degree of hearing loss that you may have and how to go about getting the right solution for your needs.
At the Hearing Diagnostic Center we provide site of lesion tests and audiovestibular tests such as Auditory Brainstern Response Test (ABR), Electrocochleography Test (ECoG) and Electronystagmography Test (ENG). These are very specific and sensitive tests that can diagnose various diseases of the auditory and balance systems, such as Meniere’s disease, Vestibular Neuronitis, Labyrinthine Vertigo, Benign Paroxysmal Positional Veritgo, Acoustic Neuroma, etc…

Arielle Spector, Au.D., ABAC
Arielle Spector earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Hearing and Speech Sciences from The University of Maryland and her Doctor of Audiology degree from The University of Texas at Dallas. She is a member of the American Academy of Audiology, the Texas Academy of Audiology, and is board certified by the American Academy of Audiology. Upon completion of her doctoral training, she joined the audiology team at Dallas Eye and Ear. Dr. Spector’s primary interests include medical audiology, balance assessment and treatment, tinnitus, electrophysiology, hearing aids and assistive devices. Dr. Spector is passionate about helping patients improve their quality of life by meeting their hearing healthcare needs. She strives to create a bond with her patients by providing guidance on how to manage their hearing loss/balance difficulties.
Anum Khan, Au.D.
Anum Khan, Au.D., received her Bachelor of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2012 and graduated with her Doctorate in Audiology (Au.D.) from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2016. She completed her one year externship at the Callier Center for Communication Disorders. She is licensed by the State of Texas to practice audiology, and is a certified by the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association. Dr. Khan joined the Dallas Eye and Ear team in 2017. Her clinical interests include diagnostic hearing evaluations, and fitting digital hearing aids.
John R. Gilmore
Dr. Gilmore has practiced Facial Plastic and Ear, Nose and Throat Surgery in Dallas, Texas since 1986. He is board certified in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. He has had extensive training in Facial Plastic, Ear Nose and Throat, and Head and Neck Surgery. He is currently the Chairman of the Department of Otolaryngology at Presbyterian Hospital and a past Chief of the Division of Otolaryngology at Methodist Hospital of Dallas. He was elected as a fellow of the American College of Surgeons in 1989, a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery in 1987 and a fellow of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 1994.
Dr. Gilmore received his Bachelor of Science degree cum laude from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and his Medical Doctorate degree from Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. He completed a surgical internship and an additional year of general surgery residency at Parkland Hospital and Southwestern Medical School affiliated hospitals. He subsequently completed a residency in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at Duke University Medical Center. Dr Gilmore has previously had an appointment as an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Otolaryngology at Southwestern Medical Center.
Dr. John R. Gilmore is the author of scientific publications in professional journals and textbooks on medical conditions including disorders of the pituitary and skull base surgery. Dr. Gilmore is a past president of the Dallas Academy of Otolaryngology and is currently an officer and board member of The Texas Institute for Surgery surgical specialty hospital and Genesis Physicians’ Group.
